This excavated US Time Fuse Adapter was recovered in the Rappahannock river at the site of the Battle of Kelly's Ford, Virginia. It is in excellent condition and has had little cleaning since recovered. It is made of brass and used in Hotchkiss artillery projectiles. The head of this adapter measures approximately 1.16 inches in diameter and it is approximately 1.95 inches long. We purchased this fuse directly from the digger. It has no cracks, breaks, or repairs and will be an excellent addition to any collection. Please see photos for for condition.
